just a twinkle in a dark blue sky
I yearned like an animal for substance in my youth, and to this day in a different way. I still stare at the skies to ground me here on earth. Realizing we are just a twinkle in a dark blue sky allows me to breathe easier amongst life’s contradictions.
Not one side or the other… but rather an ebb and flow. And to be clear, not as we currently have in politics; one party steps in and removes what another party just created & vice versa. Instead, the ebb and flow of creation, growth, and change should be guiding our culture. We need to harness our emotions, so we are not so reactionary; if nature is our biology, then consciousness is our biography. So what is the story we are telling with our actions?
It is impossible to live in the world without a story to make sense of it all; but it is less simple to discern whether that story is actually truthful or helpful. A good example of how story can negatively affect me can be found in vanity vs. comfort. I feel the focus of mind go inward, intuitive, mindful and joyful when my center is felt from being rooted. Too much vanity pulls my focus outward, to the superficial and my consciousness is then tethered outside myself, feeling a pawn in someone else’s game. So I choose the middle ground, and find my style within my comfort zone… and then off I go to enjoy my day!
If this life is for creation, we have taken that energy in the wrong direction. As humans, we resist growth and instead recite propaganda and push shame. Allowing the alchemy that is created in the grey of things should be our focus; to remain on the binary outskirts dims the light and our inspiration.
It is my view that we need truly creative ways to move our planet and ourselves forward, without leaving a path of destruction behind.
