RV ADVENTURE
As soon as our RV adventure came to its’ quick and inevitable close, we decided to sell her back to Camping World; which we believe will happen at least three more times in her life. We named her Orca, mostly due to size and coloring; thought we could do better, but Orca stuck!
We had a good adventure, not necessarily a great vacation; but I do know for certain, this experience will be the most shared. So many memories, both good and bad. Mostly, we remember miles and miles of endless desert, countless roadkill, friendly people and two beautiful coasts. Sorry middle America, the awe of life belongs to the coast.
And I do recognize that some people absolutely love the desert, endless flat lands, and open skies… but we seem to require water, because we love a good lake, doesn’t have to be ocean. Wildlife and charm are good additions to any scenery, and friendly people make a visit memorable, Savannah, GA.
I did not write as much as I thought I would, but we also didn’t allow for a lot of leisure time; very few days spent lingering in a spot, and if we did, it was usually in a big city that we wanted to explore. We would walk everywhere, and actually caught New Orleans on Mardi Gras… yes, a lot of fun and a lot of friendly people;-)
We will miss Orca, but the memories will live on and likely grow into some mighty fine tall tales of our trip across the states.
